It’s official. I have been in Lesotho for one month. And sick for half of that month. It started with a sore throat and headaches and progressed quickly to a full-blown cold/flu. There were a couple of days last week when I thought it had finally gone away…until it came back with a vengeance last weekend. Somehow, I even managed to get a full-body rash. The rash on my face is the worst and now my face is just one huge rash where all the little bumps have blended together. While I want all the sympathy I can get, I am too embarrassed to actually post a picture.

The Baylor doctors have concluded that it’s either just a viral infection (apparently rashes are very common with some viruses) or measles. At least, if it’s measles, it’s an attenuated version since I’ve had the vaccinations. Yay… Anyways, I think I’m finally starting to get better (cross my fingers!).
