IHi! My name is Andrea. I recently graduated in May with a B.S. in Bioengineering and a minor in Global Health Technologies from Rice University.

I concluded my Rice career by working in a capstone engineering design project as a member of Team Breath Alert. I am overjoyed to be able to field-test our device (a low-cost apnea monitor for infants) along with other student projects in Lesotho this summer. I am very grateful to the Beyond Traditional Borders program and all those who have dedicated their lives to improving healthcare access to the poor.
