Hello! My name is Melissa Yuan, I am a freshman at Rice University majoring in Mechanical Engineering. This past year, I was part of a freshman design team working to create a device to monitor the volume of IV fluid delivered to children in the developing world. This project has opened my eyes to a huge world outside the hedges of Rice and I look forward to sampling a taste for myself this summer!
